Clarity In All Conditions…
The Proton XQ30 features a highly sensitive 384×288, 17µm <40 Mk NETD thermal imaging sensor and frost-resistant 1024×768 HD AMOLED display to present a crisp, high contrast image no matter what the weather throws at you.
Versatile Design
The Proton XQ30 combines a compact thermal imaging monocular with the Pulsar 5×30 B quick-release monocular, providing the user with a 5x magnification spotting scope for natural daytime observation and a thermal imaging unit which is compatible with monocular type daytime optical devices. Using a special PSP quick release adaptor, this thermal imaging monocular will dock with daytime optics, seamlessly converting them into a thermal imaging device. This PSP adaptor can be mounted on the Proton XQ30 even when used with the Pulsar 5x30v monocular from the kit, making sure this thermal imaging monocular is always easy to use when out in the field.
Highly Sensitive Thermal Sensor
The Proton XQ30’s highly sensitive 384×288, 17µm <40 Mk NETD thermal imaging sensor offers excellent detail recognition, even in harsh conditions when thermal contrast is low, meaning the smallest of temperature differences will be clearly visible during heavy rain and fog.
Lightweight & Compact
Pulsar knows that each and every kilogram matters when it comes to designing a compact thermal imaging monocular, which is why the Proton XQ30 weighs only 370g. Its lightweight characteristics prevent any meaningful effect when it comes to the balance of any daytime optics on which it is installed.
Magnesium Alloy Housing
The robust and durable magnesium alloy housing provides the Proton XQ30 with high structural integrity, making it shockproof and resistant against external mechanical, temperature, and climactic effects. The housing also serves as a heatsink, effectively removing and dissipating any heat generated by the unit’s internal electronic components and improving the operational stability.
The Proton XQ30’s 1024×768 full colour HD AMOLED display offers improved colour rendering, high contrast imagery, and a clear and smooth picture; as well as quick-response and power saving features, meaning this display will always offer a flawlessly high-definition image and a crisp, vividly detailed field of view.
Image Boost
With Pulsar’s proprietary Image boost technology, the Proton XQ30F uses intuitive software algorithms, increasing the overall image clarity and detail and resulting in a considerably sharper, more detailed field of view with enhanced object identification capabilities.
8 Colour Palettes
The Proton XQ30’s choice of 8 colour palettes allows the user to observe their field of view more effectively, optimising the unit for specific tasks, as well as enabling them to react to changing observation conditions. White Hot, Black Hot and Red Hot are optimal for object detection, Rainbow and Ultramarine help increase chances for recognition & identification. Red Monochrome, Sepia and Violet are most suitable for long observation in the night.
Built-In Video Recorder
Simple to use, the Proton XQ30’s on-board still image and video recording capabilities need just one simple press of the REC button to capture or record a video with audio, meaning any once-in-a-lifetime moments can be re-watched and even shared with friends. Images and videos are stored on the integrated 16GB of internal memory.
IPX7 Fully Waterproof
The Proton XQ30 is IPX7 waterproof rated, meaning operation will remain flawless in heavy rainfall, snow, or other precipitation. It will even survive a dip in up to three feet of water for up to thirty minutes.
Operating Temperatures
The Proton XQ30’s housing, power unit, and electronics have been designed to perform effortlessly in a wide range of temperatures, remaining reliable and effectively in temperatures from -25 to +50°C.
Wireless BT Remote Control
All aspects of the Proton XQ30’s operational functions are wirelessly controllable using the ergonomically designed Pulsar BT Wireless Remote Control, offering the user a convenient way of operating the device when comfort and convenience requires them to take their hands away.
Quick-Change APS5 Battery
The high capacity, rechargeable, quick-change Li-Ion battery will provide the Proton XQ30 with up to 6 hours of operation on just a single charge (depending on temperature). Fast and easy to replace, this battery pack will provide continuous observation without any disruptions.
